Dayananda Sagar College of Pharmacy (DSCP) was started in the year 1991. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science and approved by AICTE. The institute offers diploma, under-graduate and post-graduate courses in the field of Pharmacy.

The college offer graduation course in Pharmacy followed by post graduation in the year 2006-07 comprising 4 specializations. Pharm D course was added in the year 2012-13 to motivate clinical research activities in the field of pharmacy. A research centre has also been initiated in 2014-15 to cater to the research needs of students and faculty members.

The college comprises of state of the art infrastructure supported with highly qualified dedicated faculty.

Master of Pharmacy (MPharm)

Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm):
M.Pharm.- Stands for Master of Pharmacy. Typically, Master in Pharmacy is a two years course, minimum eligibility for which is Bachelor in Pharmacy. Pharmacy mainly deals with preparing, distributing as well as providing advise on appropriate usage of medication for achieving optimal outcomes. Subjects studied under pharmacy are Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pharmaceutical Engineering.

M.Pharm course in India is offered as post graduate course after completion of B Pharma degree. The M. Pharm course is usually of two years duration. The curriculum focuses on specialization in the field of pharmacy. The M.Pharm courses are offered by pharmacy colleges leading to entry into the pharmacy profession.

Eligibility:
A candidate who has passed B.Pharm degree examination from a recognized Indian University established by law in India or any other degree courses in pharmacy recognized as equivalent by Pharmacy council of India (PCI) and/or All India Council of Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E) for this purpose and who has secured not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years) prescribed for the qualification examination shall be eligible for the admission to the M.Pharm course.

Admissions:
  • Admissions are open to all Indian nationals, NRI’s and foreign students having the requisite eligibility requirements. Admission to the course is mainly decided by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
  • Duly completed application form should reach the college office within the specified date.
  • Candidates who have passed the two years Pre-University examination of Karnataka Pre-University Board or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board/University with not less than 50% marks in any combination.
